Accounts Payable Clerk

TriStarr’s client, a construction and manufacturing company in Leola, is looking for an Accounting Clerk.  The Accounting Clerk will support the controller and accounting department with various functions including:

• Checks and approves all vouchers for payment.
• Prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary.
• Audits freight bills against freight manifests.
• Answers all vendor inquiries.
• Analyzes vendor accounts and negotiates extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted.
• Prepares accounts payable checks.
• Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
• Assists in weekly and monthly closings.
• Assists with special projects, as necessary.
• Completes tax exemption certificates, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have at least 1 year of Accounts Payable experience
• Must be detail oriented and have high math proficiency.
• Must exhibit high ethical standards and professionalism.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
• Knowledge of Navision is a plus
• Must possess sound interpersonal and communication skills.

PAY RATE: $20-25/hr, plus benefits upon permanent hire
HOURS: 30-32 hours per week to start, will grow to 40 hours per week in the fall
