Senior Financial Analyst

TriStarr’s client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. This role will develop and coordinate annual financial budgets and interim forecasts, analysis of variances between actual results and budget or forecast estimates, and assisting in the preparation, review, and interpretation of data to identify trends and opportunities for reporting to management.
                    
Primary functions and essential responsibilities:

• Assists in preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and operating plans in consultation with Business Leader(s).
• Researches and analyzes data from multiple sources as directed and by self-identification of business information needs.
• Prepares monthly financial review package for management, including commenting on variances to plan, forecast and prior year.
• Works with Senior Management and business units to determine strategic objectives and identify opportunities to meet these goals.
• Prepares moderate to complex analytical reports including budgets, revenue and expense analysis, business trends analysis, and special ad-hoc projects related to the designated business unit.
• Works with business users to refine and improve current reporting and analysis.
• Assists in revenue, expense, and cash flow projections and expense saving opportunities within all areas of the forecast models.
• Provides training to the finance/operations teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• MBA or an advanced degree in business, management, or finance preferred.

Required Knowledge:

• Advanced Knowledge of MS Office Suite, with particular emphasis on Excel.
• Experience with JD Edwards accounting software preferred.
• Understanding of accounting concepts.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive Analytics (budgeting), SpreadSheet Server. (analytics), or other business intelligence software preferred.

Experience Required:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis.

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Direct Hire
START DATE: ASAP
PAY RATE: $80,000 – $90,000
