Do you have a passion for helping others in your community? TriStarr’s client, a nonprofit organization that provides various resources to the Lancaster area, is looking for you! 

We are looking for a Community Resource Navigator Call Center Representative for the organization’s call center.  This individual is responsible for answering incoming calls, collecting client information and demographics, and administering an assessment to identify housing and other community needs.  
In this role, you will:

  • Answer inbound phone calls with an appropriate tone of voice, paying close attention to voice inflection and volume.
  • Maintain a non-judgmental attitude when speaking with callers, displaying sensitivity to all cultural backgrounds.
  • Assess caller needs and facilitating appropriate referrals for families and individuals seeking health and human service information, including evaluating client eligibility using pre-determined screening criteria for a variety of specialized contracts
  • Access the database for resources and appropriately refer callers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using call center software, computer hardware, telephone equipment, text, and chat
  • Provide information, referral and prescreening for callers from specific counties within the region who may be facing loss of their primary residence due to eviction.

Interested candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and previous customer service experience.  We also look for:

  • Excellent communication and listening skills and an empathetic and calm attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and human services desired
  • Ability to actively assess client needs and show sensitivity to issues presented by callers
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and independently
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus
  • Ability to work in a high-paced call center
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills

This approximate 6-month project begins in December and will wrap up at the end of June 2024.  It is a great opportunity to make a true difference in our local community through this call center.    

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: 6 months
PAY RATE: $17.24/hr 
HOURS: 8:30am-5pm
DRESS CODE: business casual
