Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Join our client as the Food Warehouse Assistant Manager and support their mission to fight hunger and provide essential resources to those in need.

As the Assistant Manager, you will assist the Food Warehouse Manager in coordinating warehouse operations, including food distributions, volunteer management, program coordination, food donations, inventory, equipment maintenance, and facility logs. You’ll also step in for the Manager when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer Management: Train, support, schedule, and supervise 150+ volunteers.
  • Donation Management: Receive, weigh, and log donations.
  • Distribution Coordination: Prepare and distribute food for various programs.
  • Warehouse Operations: Maintain a presence on the floor, directing volunteers, sorting donations, stocking shelves, and packing food bags.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, sanitation, and food service regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Fundraising Support: Participate in fundraising and communication strategies.
  • Program Evaluation: Optimize service delivery through periodic evaluations.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend relevant meetings.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • ServSafe Manager Certificate (or obtain within 6 months).
  • OSHA Forklift certification with standing forklift experience.
  • Valid PA Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications.

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift 50 lbs.+, and work in a fast-paced environment for 8 hours.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends or evenings for special events.

JOB TYPE: Permanent
HOURS: 7:30am to 4pm Mon-Fri, plus occasional evening and weekend hours for special events
PAY RATE: $17-19/hr
