TriStarr's client, located in Manheim, PA is looking for a Project Accountant who will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of various projects, collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders. This individual will ensure that project budgets are maintained, expenses are tracked, and financial objectives are met. Responsibilities span from budgeting and cost control to revenue recognition and invoicing. The Project Accountant will deliver key financial insights to support project profitability and compliance with contractual requirements, driving the overall success of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial oversight and guidance for assigned projects.
- Prepare, monitor, and adjust project budgets.
- Generate financial reports analyzing project profitability, costs, and revenue.
- Track expenses and align them within the budget.
- Work with project managers to identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Ensure accurate, timely invoicing and billing based on milestones or time/materials.
- Monitor compliance with project contracts, including scope and deliverables.
- Participate in project meetings, providing financial updates and strategic advice.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.
- Suggest improvements to accounting processes and efficiency.
- Assist with audits and maintain strong internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Experience in cost accounting is desirable.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger functions, and month/year-end close.
- Advanced MS Excel skills preferred.
Skills Required:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting, database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make recommendations.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit, occasionally stand, and lift up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and peripheral vision.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent (CPA is a plus).
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience (accounting operations or audit).
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Perm
START DATE: Asap (pending interviews)
PAY RATE: $65k-$75k/annually
HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
DRESS CODE: Business Casual
