This pivotal position supports the mission of our historic community market by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. From coordinating with vendors to maintaining safety and cleanliness, you’ll be at the heart of a bustling and beloved retail and cultural destination.

What You’ll Do

• Support Standholders: Be the go-to resource for vendors, assisting with policies, events, and opportunities.
• Oversee Market Operations: Manage vendor recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Ensure Safety & Cleanliness: Lead custodial staff and coordinate with service providers to maintain market standards.
• Engage the Community: Interact with shoppers, support programs like SNAP, and enhance the market’s role as a community hub.
• Stay Organized: Maintain vendor records, distribute communications, and ensure documentation is current.
• Coordinate Special Events: Assist in planning and executing market events to create memorable experiences.

What You Bring

• Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in retail, property, or facilities management preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Confident decision-making and composure under pressure.
  • Nonprofit experience is a plus.
• Passion & Personality:
  • Enthusiasm for community spaces and the ability to inspire others.
  • A sense of humor and a collaborative spirit.

Job Type: Temp to Hire
Pay: $25/hour 
Hours: Full-time including weekly market hours of 6am-3pm Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.  Flexible hours and remote flexibility for the remaining hours.
