Our client, a nonprofit organization in the Lancaster area, is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable accounting professional to join their mission-driven team as a Bookkeeper. In this role, you’ll support the full-cycle accounting needs across multiple housing community properties. The Bookkeeper plays a vital role in keeping financial operations running smoothly while also contributing to key administrative and development projects across the organization.

Accounting & Financial Support
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable across multiple properties and corporate accounts
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and generate financial reports
- Support quarterly reports, annual budgets, and audits
- Prepare and file 1099s in compliance with IRS regulations
- Assist with funding applications for real estate development projects
Administrative & Organizational Support
- Record and distribute Board Meeting minutes
- Maintain organized paper and digital filing systems
- Coordinate and maintain employee records
- Monitor and order office supplies as needed
- Monitor front desk and answer phones
Compliance & Professional Conduct
- Ensure understanding and compliance with Fair Housing Laws
- Represent the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values through professional conduct and communication
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
Required:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of 3 years of relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience
Preferred:
- Experience with Yardi or other property management software
- Active Notary License (or willingness to obtain and maintain)

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Schedule: Full-time | 37.5 hours/week (Mon–Thurs: 8am–4:30pm, Fri: 8am–3pm)
Compensation: $23-28/hr
