Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the Lancaster area, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This unique position combines bookkeeping with front desk and administrative support, making it a great fit for a well-rounded professional who thrives in a collaborative and community-focused environment.
In this role, you’ll manage key administrative tasks that support day-to-day office operations while also assisting with bookkeeping duties across multiple housing properties. Your contributions will help ensure both smooth office workflow and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Front Desk Support

Greet visitors and answer incoming phone calls as the first point of contact

Coordinate office communications, scheduling, and calendar management

Record and distribute meeting minutes for Board and staff meetings

Maintain well-organized digital and physical filing systems

Monitor and replenish office supplies to ensure a smooth work environment

Assist with onboarding paperwork and maintain employee records

Support general office functions and assist leadership as needed
Bookkeeping & Financial Support

Handle full-cycle accounts payable and receivable for multiple properties

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and generate financial reports

Prepare and file 1099s in compliance with IRS regulations

Assist in quarterly and annual financial reporting, budgets, and audits

Support funding applications related to real estate development projects

Process intercompany transactions and help ensure financial accuracy

Ensure compliance with Fair Housing Laws and internal policies

Qualifications
Required:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
3+ years of relevant bookkeeping/accounting and/or administrative experience

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred:
-
Experience with Yardi or similar property management software
-
Active Notary License or willingness to obtain

Experience managing intercompany transactions

Location: Lancaster County
Schedule: Full-time | 37.5 hours/week (Mon–Thurs: 8am–4:30pm, Fri: 8am–3pm)
Compensation: $23-28/hr
Assignment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Dress Code: Business Casual
