Our client, a reputable insurance organization located in New Holland, PA is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Claims Representative I to join their Claims team. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity ideal for someone with strong customer service skills and an interest in insurance operations. Key Responsibilities:
Adjust and settle claims with authority up to $7,500
Investigate claims, verify policy coverage, and determine appropriate settlements
Assign independent adjusters and appraisers when necessary
Pursue subrogation, salvage, and third-party liability
Maintain accurate claim files and establish proper reserves
Notify supervisor of claims exceeding authority
Report suspicious or fraudulent claims to management
Attend claim seminars and participate in professional associations
Provide excellent service to claimants and internal departments
Perform additional duties as assigned by Claims Supervisor or Manager
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn various insurance policy coverages
Comfortable working with company computer systems
Ability to remain in a stationary position and operate a computer for extended periods
Commitment to performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Interest in insurance-related study courses is a plus
