Our client, a well-regarded educational organization in Lancaster, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Program Bookkeeper II to join their Business Services team. This role offers the chance to support essential financial operations while working behind the scenes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and excellent service across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general bookkeeping tasks, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and monthly close
- Post monthly invoice payments, credit card receipts, ACH/wire transfers, and PayPal receipts
- Reconcile accounts receivable deposit batches with monthly bank statements
- Prepare accurate and timely bank reconciliations and financial reports
- Conduct account analysis and support monthly and year-end closeout activities
- Input, edit, and post journal entries with accurate source documentation
- Assist in audit preparation and internal reporting
- Maintain organized and complete program records and financial data
- Respond to internal and external inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proven experience with cash receipts is required
- Strong skills in data entry, journal entry posting, account analysis, and bank reconciliations
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word; familiarity with PowerPoint and Access a plus
- Experience with BusinessPLUS CRM is preferred but not required
- Ability to handle confidential information and communicate clearly
- Self-directed with excellent attention to detail

- Pay Rate: $25.40/hr
- Location: Lancaster, PA
- Schedule: Full-time, 8am–5pm or Part-time (25–40 hours/week)
- Job Type: Long-term temporary (through December 2025, potential for extension or hire)
