We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our client’s finance team. A well-established professional services firm in the legal field located in Lancaster, PA.
The Finance department is expanding with the firm’s continued success and growth. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in day-to-day billing operations, including printing prebills, sending final invoices to clients, updating records, and assisting with accounts receivable follow-up. You will also research and respond to billing questions from attorneys and work directly with clients regarding payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribute prebills to attorneys, make necessary edits, and return for final review.
- Maintain accurate client billing addresses and emails, ensuring all information is current.
- Respond to billing questions from internal and external sources.
- Verify discrepancies and communicate with clients and/or attorneys.
- Assist with past-due accounts receivable.
- Support other team members with opening new clients/matters, onboarding attorneys, filing, sending and monitoring emails, and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications / Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient with electronic filing systems and Adobe Writer.
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience as a billing clerk or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform essential responsibilities.
- Law firm experience preferred but not required.

Details:
- Length of Assignment: Direct Hire
- Start Date: ASAP (pending interviews)
- Salary Range: $50k–$65k (depending on experience)
- Hours: Mon.–Fri., 8am–5pm, with 1-hour lunch (approx. 40–50 hours/week)
- Dress Code: Business Professional
- Location: Lancaster, PA (onsite)
