TriStarr is partnering with a respected, mission-driven Lancaster organization to hire a Controller. This hands-on role leads day-to-day accounting, reporting, budgeting support, and process improvements as the organization evolves into a modern nonprofit model.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll integration, and cash management
- Manage month-end/year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, schedules
- Prepare financial statements, reporting, and variance analysis for leadership/board
- Coordinate annual audit and support nonprofit reporting needs (including Form 990 support with external advisors)
- Lead budgeting and forecasting; build cash flow projections and scenario models
- Improve processes, controls, and accounting/reporting systems; lead/develop accounting staff
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (or related)
- 7+ years accounting/finance experience; 3+ years in a senior accounting role
- Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge; full-cycle accounting and close experience
- Strong Excel/analysis skills; experience improving controls/processes
Preferred
- CPA strongly preferred
- Nonprofit and/or media/publishing/subscription business experience
- Familiarity with restricted/unrestricted funds, grants/contributions, audit support, and Form 990 concepts
