Overview
We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Temporary Administrative Assistant to support our client, a a well-established tax preparation firm, during peak tax season. If you enjoy staying organized, communicating professionally with clients, and keeping important paperwork moving smoothly, this is a great temporary opportunity with steady hours.
What You’ll Do
- Answer incoming calls and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Create, reply to, and manage client emails
- File and organize documents accurately and efficiently
- Sort and organize incoming tax documents for the tax preparers and pull/obtain client tax files for processing
- Use Stamps.com to prepare outgoing mail/shipping
- Maintain a tax tracking spreadsheet by entering client data, including e-file authorizations
- Follow up on missing tax preparation information as needed
- Schedule client appointments for tax document pick-up
- Assist with payment processing (credit card machine, stamping checks)
What We’re Looking For
- Previous administrative/office support experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with email communication, data entry, and spreadsheets
- Professional phone etiquette and a customer-service mindset
- Reliable and punctual—consistent attendance is important during the season
- End-of-tax-season bonus (based on office performance)
Job Type: Temporary (January 20th-April 17th)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM (Some flexibility)
Pay Rate: $18–$22/hour (based on experience)
Location: York, PA (Fully On-Site)
