Township Administrative Assistant

What You’ll Do
- Provide administrative support to the Community Development Department and related township boards and committees
- Assist residents and applicants with permit and planning submissions
- Manage communications, including phone inquiries, emails, and visitor assistance
- Track, organize, and maintain paper and electronic records of permits, plans, and project files
- Prepare meeting materials, including agendas, minutes, and reports
- Coordinate fee collection and ensure timely processing of permits and approvals
- Support special projects and help facilitate community development initiatives
Qualifications / What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of clerical or administrative experience, or 1 year with building code and zoning knowledge
- Proficient in MS Office, well-organized, and attentive to detail
- Clear communicator, reliable, and professional in appearance (business casual)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy and discretion

Job Details
- Job Type: Temp for 2-3 months (may be a great foot in the door!)
- Pay Range: $20–$24/hr depending on experience
- Hours: 8am–4:30pm
- Location: On-site (business casual attire required)
