Our client, a non-profit organization located in Lancaster City, is looking for a Grant Writer/Communications Specialist to join their team! If you love turning meaningful work into compelling stories, and you’re energized by deadlines, details, and making an impact, this could be a great fit. This full-time, on-site role supports a mission-driven organization’s development and communications efforts by helping secure funding and share outcomes that matter.
Key Responsibilities / What You’ll Do
- Write, refine, and submit grant proposals and funding applications
- Prepare clear, timely impact reports for funders
- Track due dates, application status, and reporting schedules
- Research new grant opportunities and evaluate fit
- Interview staff/clients/partners (as appropriate) and draft mission-focused stories
- Edit and proofread communications materials (newsletters, web content, annual reports, social posts, press releases, appeals)
- Assist the development team with additional projects as needed
Qualifications / What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 2+ years of grant writing experience in a similar role
- Strong writing, editing, and grammar skills
- Excellent organization and time management (able to juggle multiple deadlines)
- Strong attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfort collaborating in Teams (or similar)

- Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
- Pay Rate: $25–$32/hour
- Hours / Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (40+ hours/week)
- Location: On-site in Lancaster City, PA
