Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career with a respected and growing organization? Our client, a well-established retail company based in Lititz, PA, is looking for a dependable, detail-driven Assistant Controller to join their dynamic Corporate Accounting team.

This full-time, high-impact role is perfect for a candidate with a strong accounting foundation, sharp analytical skills, and a desire to grow into a leadership position. You’ll work closely with the CFO and Controller, playing a key role in driving financial integrity, operational excellence, and strategic insights.
 
What You'll Do:

• Prepare financial reports and KPI dashboards for both internal stakeholders and external partners
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger oversight
• Support capital project tracking, debt service management, and corporate liabilities
• Conduct internal audits and oversee physical inventory accuracy
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory requirements
• Review financial contracts and administer licenses and registrations
• Train, direct, and mentor accounting team members
• Collaborate with leadership to interpret financial results and recommend improvements
• Assist with budget development and board reporting
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA a plus)
• Minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience (retail experience preferred)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP systems a bonus)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local company locations as needed
• Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
