TriStarr’s client is looking to hire a Financial Assistant responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail. This position supports time-sensitive refunds and other miscellaneous payments by opening, sorting, identifying, logging, and scanning incoming refund checks, completing accurate data entry, and ensuring items are properly tracked and processed. The Financial Assistant will also help maintain organized records, return unidentified checks to the sender, and print and mail letters with check inserts when needed.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Other Requirements

  • High volume identifying, scanning, and data entry of time-sensitive refunds and other miscellaneous payments and refunds, including updating incoming check logs and preparing check batches with batch totals for remote deposit processing
  • Deposit live checks received using a remote deposit scanner to various bank accounts
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, including overnight shipments of large dollar live checks to clients for claim funding purposes
  • Process direct deposit setup requests from clients, members, and internal sources into an electronic payment partner’s web application in a timely fashion
  • Update and maintain spreadsheet logs for live checks received, deposited, or sent to clients for balancing and tracking purposes
  • Print and mail manual letters with check inserts when required
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Details

  • Job Type: Temporary (long term)
  • Pay Rate: $19/hr
  • Start Date: April 1st, 2026
  • Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with 30-minute lunch
  • Dress Code: Casual
  • Location: Lancaster City (parking provided)
