Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for supporting busy teams? We are seeking an experienced IT Generalist to join a dynamic team in Lancaster, PA. This fully on-site role offers the opportunity to work across multiple IT functions, support end users, and contribute to small- to mid-sized IT projects in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
As an IT Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting IT infrastructure, systems, and end users. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with end users to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and network equipment.
- Administering user accounts, permissions, and profiles in Windows domain and Google Workspace environments.
- Monitoring service desk tickets and ensuring timely resolution of IT issues.
- Assisting with planning, implementing, and maintaining IT systems to support business operations.
- Maintaining documentation for IT systems, including network maps, asset inventories, and licenses.
- Supporting basic cybersecurity measures and backup/recovery strategies.
- Providing onboarding and training for new employees on IT tools and platforms.
- Staying up-to-date on emerging technologies and IT industry trends.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has hands-on IT experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Requirements include:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience supporting IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and basic cybersecurity practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Windows Server & Active Directory
- Google Workspace & Microsoft 365
- Network monitoring and performance optimization
- Helpdesk/ticketing platforms (FreshService preferred)
- Fortinet firewalls, Synology NAS, and Apple device management
- Asset management software
Job Details:
- Assignment Type: Temporary (3-4 months)
- Location: Lancaster, PA (onsite only; remote/hybrid not available)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 4pm
- Pay Rate: $22-$28/hr.
- Start Date: ASAP
