Our client, a respected organization in the education and public services sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Fiscal Clerk 3 – Accounts Payable to join their Business Services team in Lancaster, PA. Reporting to the Financial Analyst/Accounts Payable Manager, this hybrid position plays a key role in supporting the accounts payable functions, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments, vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input, balance, and verify authorized invoices, vouchers, and other payment evidence in line with established internal controls
  • Process employee reimbursements in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure prompt payment of vendor invoices tied to purchase orders and contracts
  • Support check printing for various funds as needed
  • Enter and track contract purchase orders in BusinessPlus
  • Serve as a backup for accounts receivable receipts and front desk operations
  • Assist in 1099 processing and reconciliation projects with the Financial Analyst
  • Respond professionally to vendor and employee inquiries regarding payment and paperwork
  • Reconcile vendor statements and report overdue accounts to supervisor
  • Handle voids and wire transfers when necessary
  • Support purchase card system operations and other assigned duties
  • Uphold all privacy regulations (FERPA, HIPAA) and adhere to organizational policies

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, financial administration, or related fields

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; professionalism in customer interactions
  • Proficiency in Excel and data entry systems (e.g., BusinessPlus)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
  • Commitment to confidentiality and tact when handling sensitive data
  • Ability to interpret and resolve payment issues efficiently

Details:

  • Pay Rate: $24.63/hr.
  • Location: Lancaster, PA
  • Schedule: Full-time, 8am – 5pm (Hybrid opportunity)
  • Job Type: Long-term temporary (possibility for extension or hire)
  • Start Date: ASAP (pending interviews)
