High Foundation is hiring a strategic, mission-aligned Communications & Development Manager to elevate our visibility, storytelling, and community engagement efforts. This role supports both High Foundation and its related nonprofits; Partners for Environmental Stewardship and Lancaster Housing Fund-through communications leadership, content creation, and fundraising support.
You’ll lead initiatives that reflect the Foundation’s values and build awareness around our work in affordable housing, environmental stewardship, and community partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communications Strategy: Develop and execute multi-channel strategies that align with the Foundation’s mission and drive engagement.
- Content Creation & Storytelling: Produce digital and print materials, newsletters, social media, impact stories, and reports that reflect our values and amplify grantee voices.
- Fundraising Support: Assist with donor communications, grant writing, collateral, donor stewardship, and event planning.
- Public Relations & Media: Build relationships with local/regional media, write press releases, and lead outreach for initiatives and events.
- Event & Stakeholder Engagement: Support and promote events, manage internal communications, and liaise with High coworkers to build awareness.
- Brand & Design: Ensure consistency of visual identity, collaborate with branding partners, and develop public presentation materials.
Reporting Structure:
This role reports directly to the Executive Director of High Foundation and collaborates with Foundation Trustees, the Board Chair, related nonprofit leaders, advisors, and the High Marketing team.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of experience in communications, PR, fundraising, or marketing
- Strong writing, design, and storytelling skills
- Proficiency in WordPress, Mailchimp, and social media platforms
- Experience with multimedia content, slide decks, and reporting
- Skilled in project management and stakeholder engagement
- Flexible, creative, and aligned with the Foundation’s mission
- Master’s degree preferred
- Familiarity with Lancaster/south-central PA a plus
