We are seeking an outgoing, detail-oriented, and motivated Sales & Estimating Specialist to join our client’s team, a small, family-owned, and well-established business in Landisville, PA. This is not just an estimating role. It’s a client-facing, sales-driven position for someone who enjoys winning business and delivering value. If you have a background in construction, estimating, or trades, and you enjoy meeting people, prospecting new leads, and closing deals, this could be the perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Development
- Proactively bring in new business through cold calls, referrals, and networking
- Attend local industry events (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, ABC, Rotary) at least once per month
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, developers, and other industry professionals
Estimating & Proposal Development
- Perform detailed take-offs, proposals, submittals, and bid packages
- Maintain organized electronic files and data for all estimating tasks
- Submit proposals and complete bids prior to deadlines, following site visits
Bid & Project Tracking and Follow-Up
- Track bids using spreadsheets or other software
- Submit monthly or quarterly reports with client names, project details, bid amounts, etc.
Post-Sale Engagement
- Analyze project costs, billings, and net profit using QuickBooks
- Report discrepancies and provide feedback to leadership
Cost Analysis & Reporting
Site Verification & Events
- Visit job sites and attend networking/marketing events as needed
Team & Office Support
- Provide general administrative and office support as needed
- Maintain professionalism and accuracy in all tasks to support business success
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction estimating experience required
- Construction sales or business development experience strongly preferred
- Existing working relationships with general contractors highly desirable
- Experience in trades such as landscaping, painting, concrete, or related fields is a plus
- Strong math, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and email communication skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a growth mindset
- Comfortable working at a desk and computer for extended periods
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office
- Reliable transportation for job site and networking visits (mileage reimbursed)

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Pay Rate: $26–$30/hr. (DOE)
Hours: Part-Time or Full-Time; Mon.–Fri.
