Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Clerk to join their team at their Mountville, PA headquarters. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role will support the company’s purchasing and transportation/logistics functions by managing purchase orders, coordinating freight activities, and ensuring accurate documentation within ERP systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and the Accounts Payable team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and issue purchase orders within an ERP system (Infor M3, SAP, AS400, or similar).

  • Support purchasing activities by communicating with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

  • Collaborate with the Procurement team and Accounts Payable department to analyze and resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies.

  • Build and manage freight orders within the ERP system.

  • Coordinate domestic freight receipts and shipments to support on-time delivery.

  • Track, report, and analyze freight and logistics data to support operational decision-making.

  • Perform freight invoice reconciliation and investigate discrepancies as needed.

  • Maintain accurate procurement, freight, and supplier records in accordance with company policies.

  • Assist the Procurement and Logistics teams with additional related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of procurement and transportation/logistics processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external interactions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and email.

  • Ability to organize, analyze, and present purchasing and logistics data.

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective problem-solving, research, and time management skills.

  • Commitment to process improvement and building strong working relationships across departments and with suppliers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting procurement or purchasing functions.

  • 2–5 years of experience supporting transportation and logistics operations.

  • Hands-on experience working within ERP systems required.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Willingness to be flexible and assist other team members as needed.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Job Details

  • Pay Rate: $25–$28 per hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Full-time, M-F; flexible start time between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM, working 8 hours per day
  • Job Type: Temporary assignment; ASAP through end of May 2026
  • Start Date: ASAP (pending interviews)
  • Location: Mountville, PA
