Are you passionate about making a difference in families' lives? Our client, located in Lancaster City, is looking for an Eligibility Specialist to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a caring attitude to support families accessing vital childcare programs. 

Key Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility and redetermination for subsidized childcare programs based on DHS policies
• Conduct personal interviews with parents and caretakers to gather necessary information
• Update family case records accurately and maintain detailed documentation
• Collaborate with internal departments and partner programs to ensure seamless service delivery
• Provide clear information to families and providers about funding availability and eligibility criteria
• Maintain organized workflows, meet deadlines, and continuously improve processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Social Services or related field, or a diploma with 2+ years of human services experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, coupled with excellent attention to detail, enabling effective and productive interactions with a diverse population of internal and external clients.
• Ability to interpret policies and manage sensitive information discreetly
• Previous experience in customer support or case management preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Job Details

• Job Type: Temp-Perm
• Pay / Salary: $17/hour
• Hours / Schedule: FT; 8:30am-5pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
• Location: On-site (business casual dress code)
